Join us for this one of a kind ride to Himalayas to celebrate India’s victory and pay tribute to these valiant heroes of our nation on the eve of the 17th Kargil Vijay Diwas at Kargil War Memorial in Drass (also known as the World’s second coldest inhabited place after Siberia)

Day-wise Program

Day1: Meet up in Manali, Ice breaking and Safety briefing session

Arrive in Manali with your bikes or by bus and check into the hotel. Meet with your tour lead in the evening for a safety briefing about the journey. Spend evening by a bonfire for an ice breaking session.

Day2: Manali to Sarchu (230kms/9 hours)

- Highlights: Rothang La, Baralacha La, Keylong, Jispa
- Flag off after an early morning breakfast
- Last minute ride and gear check
- Ascend towards Rothang La (13,000ft) as you leave behind the treeline and approach Keylong where you will be greeted by lush grasslands.
- You will be passing through villages of Lahul valley by the banks of Chandra and Bhaga river
- After a quick break continue towards Jispa and then on to Sarchu via Baralacha La (15,700ft)
- As you leave Keylong behind the mountains start becoming brown and the landscape starts getting more and more dramatic
- Arrive in Sarchu by evening 
- Overnight in tented camp

Day3: Sarchu to Leh (260kms/8 hours)

- Highlights: Tanglang La (second highest motorable road in the world), 22 Gata loops, Pang Plains
- Start early after a healthy breakfast and ride towards Leh
- Tanglang La is at a height of 17,580 ft making it the world’s second highest road after Khardungla. 
- Except the uphill and downhill from Tanglang La, majority of stretch is now tarmac so this part of the journey has become less strenuous 
- Arrive in Leh by evening and check into hotel

Day4: Rest Day + Ride up to Khardung La top (40 kms one way/2 hours)

- Highlights: Khardungla Top, Leh Palace, Shanti Stupa
- After a good rest, rise up today in the city of Leh 
- Quick check up of your ride and gear up as we will ride up to the World’s Highest Motorable road – Khardung La at an elevation of above 18000 ft
- We will ride up to the top of Khardung La and after a celebration break and tea we will ride back to Leh by late afternoon
- In the evening, explore Leh bazaar especially the Leh Palace and Shanti Stupa
- Get good rest today in the night as tomorrow we will hitting the road towards Kargil

Day5: Leh to Kargil (216kms/6 hours)

- Highlights: Gurudwara Pather Sahib, War Museum, Magentic Hill, Lamayuru Monastery, Dramatic Moonland, Fotu La, Namkila, 7th Century Maetriya Buddha rock statue 
- The journey from Leh to Kargil is one of the smoothest and exhilarating stretches on a Ladakh bike expedition. To reach Kargil you will be crossing the two passes of Namki La and Fotu La pass at an altitude of 12,140 ft and 13,450 ft respectively
- We will begin our journey early morning after a healthy breakfast
- Enroute visit some of the sites of interest and photographing along the way
- Stop in Lamayuru for lunch and enjoy the breathtaking view of moonland from the monastery
- Arrive in Kargil by evening
- Overnight in fixed camp

Day6: Kargil to Suru valley and back (120kms/5 hours)

- Highlights: Central Asian Museum, Hundurman Border village, Nun Kun peaks and Buddha Chamba in Suru valley
- After breakfast we will begin our journey to explore Kargil and its environs
- The best way to start is by visiting the local central Asian museum in the town that preserves the silk route trade heritage of Kargil
- Post museum visit, we will ride to the border village of Hudurman, 11 kms off Kargil town near the Line of Control between India and Pakistan. Here explore the 500 year old abandoned settlement of Hundurman turned into a museum
- You can also get a good view of a village across the border in Pakistan
- Ride back down to Kargil and continue your ride towards Suru valley
- Suru valley is a pristine region of Ladakh enroute Zanskar with snow capped peaks and lush green oasis along the Suru river
- Its a smooth ride on tarmac roads with breathtaking views of the famous Nun Kun peaks, two of the highest peaks in Ladakh
- Enroute stop in Sankoo for lunch and continue to the historic village of Kartse Khar to witness the oldest and the tallest Maetriya Buddha statue
- Ride upto the Parkachik glacier that decends from Mt Nun
- Ride back to Kargil by evening and rest

Day7: Kargil Vijay Diwas Celebrations in Drass

- Highlights: Meet and greet with the Indian Army, Kargil War Memorial, Tiger Hill and Tololing Peaks in Drass; world’s second coldest inhabited place
- Today is the culmination of the long and arduous journey you have made across the Himalayas when we arrive in Drass to celebrate India’s victory and pay homage to the valiant soldiers of our nation. Be a part of this exclusive event and feel Proud be an Indian
- Its a long and eventful day so keep your spirits and enthusiasm high
- After an early breakfast, we will start our journey towards Drass on smooth tarmac road (60 kms/1 hour)
- Reach the campsite by Drass river. Here you will leave your luggage and move the War Memorial
- Arrive at the Kargil War Memorial before the events of the day begin
- You will be given your exclusive passes for the event
- Settle in as the events unfold

- Tentative Program of the day 

- Address and opening of ceremony by the Chief of Army Staff
- Beating the retreat
- Get a chance to pay your respects to the soldiers and their families
- Horse Polo Match
- Bike stunt show by Daredevils; an elite group of rider from the Indian Army
- Brass and Pipe band display
- Wreath laying
- Lighting the lamps
- Light and Sound Show: A unique light projection show on the tololing hill depicting the various stories of valour
- Arrive at the camp after the event gets over for a celebrating a successful and safe ride so far over a bonfire
- Dinner at camp

Day8: Drass to Sonamarg (60kms/3 hours)

- Highlights: Zoji La pass, Thajwas Glacier
- Wake up in the frontier town of Drass
- After breakfast check your gear and ride
- Continue the journey towards Sonamarg via Zoji La pass (11,580 ft)
- This is a small stretch and you will reach sonamarg by lunch time
- After lunch, take a pleasure ride to the Thajwas glacier
- Explore the beautiful valley of Sonamarg
- Overnight at hotel

Day9: Sonamarg to Jammu (330 kms/10 hours)

- This is the longest stretch of the journey that you will make but with smooth roads and the newly opened Chenani tunnel on the Srinagar- Jammu highway has greatly reduced the travel time (50kms/2 hours of travel time)
- After a healthy breakfast, start your journey towards Jammu
- Arrive in Jammu by evening
- Check into hotel

Day10: Check out and continue your journey towards your respective destinations

Jammu is well connected by train, bus and air service to Delhi and other parts of the country. Riders can choose to continue riding to Delhi or Changdigarh. Alternatively, riders can also dispatch their bikes by train and make the rest of the journey by air, train or bus.

- Valid ID proof (Passport/Voter ID/Drivers Licence) 
- No suitcases. Opt for 70 to 90 litre backpacks
- Water-proof trekking shoes
- One down jacket or warmer for chilly nights
- Rain poncho or jacket/windcheater (a must!)
- Thermal inner (not advisable to wear it while trekking)
- Trekking pants (one spare)
- Sun block
- Hat

- Spare under garments and socks (three pairs max)
- Flashlight with extra batteries (preferably wearable)
- Water bottle, preferably wide mouthed, with at least one litre capacity

Booking & Cancelation

Booking a trip with us – How it works?

For scheduled trips, you can directly send a booking enquiry by clicking on Book Now next to each event. Send in your basic details asked for in the booking form. We will get back to you with the detailed itinerary, trip essentials and payment details.

Booking a trip with us is a two step process.

Step 1:
Pay 10% in advance and secure your seat. You are required to send us a confirmation email with the copy of the bank payment slip to

Step 2:
In order for us to secure your booking, pay the remaining 90% prior to the date of departure. Upon payment, you are required to send us the following details by email to

- Scanned copy of the Medical fitness certificate attested by a certified medical practitioner
- Scanned copy of Payment slip from the bank for payment of 90% of the booking amount.
- Please specify if you need a mule/porter so that we can arrange for one in advance. You can make the payment once you are here
- Specify if you want a single room for yourself. Cost will be communicated to you upon request

Upon receiving these details, we will confirm your booking and the receipt of our payment by email. You can correspond with us over the same email id for any further queries. We are happy to help!

- Booking is secured temporarily upon payment of 10% of the amount
- Bookings will be confirmed after the 90% payment is received prior to date of departure.
- For bookings made within less than 15 days of the date of departure, the full amount must be paid in advance.

Cancellation – How it works?

For scheduled trips, we reserve the right to cancel any trip because of inadequate enrolment that makes the trip economically infeasible to operate or because of our concerns with respect to the safety, health, or welfare of the participants.
If the trip is cancelled due to inadequate enrolment, you will be intimated at least a week in advance. We will cancel the trip if the group size is less than six, one week before the start of the journey.

In case of voluntary cancellation, send us a notice by email to with the subject line “Requesting cancellation --”

- 30% of the total amount will be retained as cancellation fee if the trip is canceled 30-21 days prior to date of   journey.
- 50% of the total amount will be retained as cancellation fee if the trip is canceled 21-15 days prior to date of journey. 
- 70% of the total amount will be retained as cancellation fee if the trip is canceled 15-07 days prior to date of   journey.
- No refund will be granted on cancellation done within one week of the date of journey.
- No refund will be granted for portion/portions of the journey not performed by the traveler.
- No refund will be granted in case of non-performance of journey due to external and natural events.
- The refund process will take atleast 10 to 15 days working days.
- In the event of any dispute, the matter shall be resolved under the jurisdiction of the District Court, Kargil.

Terms specific to scheduled trips:

- If the remainder 90% is not received 15 days prior to the date of departure, the booking will be considered as cancelled and will be made open for other interested participants. The 10% advance will be retained as cancellation fee
- Full refund will be made for trips cancelled by us due to inadequate enrollment

Services included in the cost is subject to the individual trip. You can refer to the trip itinerary details to see what services are included in the cost. Following are the services that are usually excluded from the cost, unless specified in the particular itinerary:

- International & Domestic flight fares
- Travel Insurance
- Accommodation in Srinagar/Leh
- Taxi from Leh/Srinagar to Kargil
- Monument/monastery and Museum visit fees.
- Any expenses of personal nature such as mineral water, laundry.
- Any kind of insurance, such as accident, theft, medical, evacuation etc.
- Tips to porters, camping team, driver, guide, etc.
- Cost incurred due to change / extension in the itinerary due to roadblocks, bad weather condition, flight delays, vehicle breakdowns, etc.
